As I always say, take charge of your health by reading ingredient labels It's one of the best things you can do for your body As with anything, you'll want to gradually introduce fats into your diet slowly, so that your body has time to adapt, especially if you're not accustomed to eating them There can be undesirable side effects (can we say frequent trips to the throne if you know what I mean) if you overdo it on the fats too fast So start slow

Now, and VERY IMPORTANT note here: Along with increasing healthy fats, it's also vital to decrease carbohydrate consumption This is the key factor for getting your body into a fat-adapted state (ie burning fat for fuel instead of glucose from carbohydrates) If you continue to consume large amounts of carbohydrates from grainy and starchy sources, then your body will continue to use the glucose for energy and store the extra fat as, well, extra fat (as well as create an environment for many health issues to occur)
